US (2008)
venue: Sutra, Baluwatar, Kathmandu

Human beings feel they are supreme among all other living beings. The game of supremacy extends toward our own world, to our daily lives. In this game, we present fake feelings and hide our real emotions. It seems that we are bound by the same wish, to present a facade of our projected personality. But not every emotion can be concealed- one can see the reflection of love, hate, joy, temper and jealousy on human faces.

And there is our society on other side that is watching us. In our effort to showcase our best personality to society, we hide our real feeling and express ourselves within some limited boundaries. By getting intimidated with the reaction of society, we perpetuate a fake personality forever and ever.

CHAIR CHARM (2007)
venue: Jyamirkot, Lalitpur

The lust for the all powerful political chair has made political leader forget their promises to the people. The promise to empower women has been forgotten. Though men and women were equally active in political movements, the conservative concept of male domination continues as usual.

When the temptation of the chair begins, great personalities stoop to any level.

FREEDOM (2006)
venue: Patan durbar square, Lalitpur

We can't say where, when and how 'FREEDOM' appears.
Sometime it appears as a birthright
sometimes as the beginning of rebellion
and sometimes as the end of it.

Sometimes it appears as deliverance like the sky
and sometimes as unfurled wings in the sky
sometimes as the apex of dignity.

Somewhere 'FREEDOM' appears at the end of a journey
and somewhere as a beginning.

INNER EVIL (2005)
venue: Nepal – Bangladesh Art Exhibition, Kathmandu

Man is considered supreme Humans are considered to be supreme beings as a lot of their inherent characteristics make them believe that they are considered superior to other beings. 'Feeling' is one of them. Though this characteristic is invisible, a lot of meanings are associated with it. Feeling represent a myriad emotions- love, care and also the negative sentiments, which give rise to inner evil.

Such inner evil is covered with outer beauty. So we can't easily see it. When such evilness comes out, the outer beauty is destroyed completely.

BICHALIT BARTMAN (2003)
Venue: Basantpur, Kathmandu

T he nation is in the midst of violence, terrorism, war and bloodshed. When people are caught between the conflicts, their lives are destroyed forever. Even the physical infrastructure of the country is demolished forever. Amidst the gun powder and flames, a steady bloodstream is flowing. Peace is all that the people want. To reach to that peaceful shore, they are forced to sail over this bloodstream, only to find they have reached nowhere at the end. The steps towards peace are vanishing midway.

STRUGGLE (2002)
venue: Osho Tapoban, Kathmandu

Every mortal begins their struggle with life after taking their first step on the soil. This struggle is about self preservation and about self identity. Though we want to set ourselves free from the shackles of earthy emotions like love, lust and luster, this emancipation does not come easy. We cannot escape from societal norms and personal responsibilities. Our senses and sense organs turn mute when our struggle against the treacherous world begins.
