Sketching a world of romance

After graduating from Lalitkala campus, we worked on a few project together only to discover that we were truly soul mates. We both wished for a partner who would not only understand us but also our work, and it was only natural to chose someone from a similar career. As we got to know each other we realised that most of our interests were the same - music, food, colours, attitude and the like.

What is the biggest advantage of being in the same profession?

Sangee: We know our job well and understand the responsibilities that come along with it and that has helped us stay together despite our busy schedules. And because we have similar interests vacations are fun too. He wouldn’t mind it I visited the art programs more and more.

Would life be any different if you had different careers?

Abin: I guess it would be different. Sometimes I wonder if life would be more fun if Sangee would have been doing something different. She would probably have other things than art to discuss about. I would probably see less of paintings and art work scattered aroung the room.

Can life partners be compititors?

Sangee: We haven’t had a chance to think about that question. Our clients never give us the chance to do so. My clients somehow do not approve of his creations and his clients never approach me for work.

Abin: We’ll be able to thinl that issue only after we work for the same client, which I guess is least likely to happen.

What do you like best about each other?

Abin: I admire the way she balances her profession and family. I would never have been able to do that if I were in her shoes.

Sangee: His dedication towards his work fascinates me.
